Here Is A Delicious French Baguette Recipe

French baguette is a French bread which is one of the most popular breads of France. Baguette is a hollow cylindrical loaf of bread with three or four leaf-like structures on it. Although the preparation process of a baguette is quite extensive and time consuming, it is definitely worth the wait and efforts. French baguette is very versatile bread, as it can be eaten with many other foods.

Sometimes this bread is also used in soups like French onion soup. So, just follow the recipe to prepare your own French baguette at your home and stun your guests with your culinary skills.


Ingredients:
  • 1 3/4 cups warm water
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 4 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil for greasing the bowl
Directions:
  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, stir together the water and yeast. Allow to sit for a couple minutes, until the yeast is fully dissolved. Add the flour and salt and mix on low until the dough starts to come together; crank the speed up to medium and knead for 10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  2. Lightly oil a large bowl and place the dough inside, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap or a damp towel and allow to rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30 minutes. Fold the dough over gently on itself, then re-cover and let rise for an additional 45 minutes.
  3. Fold the dough over on itself again, pressing it down to release the gas bubbles. Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and cut into two equal pieces. Shape the pieces into two round balls and cover. Let rest for about 30 minutes.
  4. Press each dough ball into the shape of a rectangle, about 10 inches long. Roll longways to create a 10-inch cylinder, and pinch the seam on the underside of the dough. Place the dough cylinders on a large baking sheet and cover. Allow to rise in a warm spot until nearly doubled in volume, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Run a knife diagonally across the tops of the loaves to score them, cutting just through the top layer of dough.
  6. Just before putting the loaves in the oven, brush or mist lightly with water. Brush or mist 1 more time during the first 5 minutes of baking. Bake until the loaves are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped; about 30 minutes. Allow to cool on wire racks before cutting.

There Is An Easy Italian Cream Cake Recipe

Italian Cream Cake

For the Cake:
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk, at room temperature
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 8 Tablespoons (4-ounces) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 extra large eggs, yolks and whites separated
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded dried coconut, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
For the Frosting:
  • 12-ounces cream cheese, cold
  • 12 Tablespoons (6-ounces) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 6 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans

For the Cake:
Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans and line the bottoms with a round of parchment.

In a small bowl whisk together the flour and salt; set aside. In a separate bowl combine the buttermilk, baking soda, and vanilla; set aside.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter until creamy, about 30 seconds. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the 1 1/3 cups sugar. Beat on high speed until light and fluffy, about 4-6 minutes. Beat the egg yolks in one at a time. Using a rubber spatula, scrape down the sides of the bowl.

Beating on low speed, add the flour in 3 parts, alternating with the buttermilk mixture in 2 parts; scrape down the sides of the bowl and beat until combined. Stir in the coconut and pecans.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar using a hand-held mixer or whisk until soft peaks form. Gradually add the 1/4 cup sugar and beat on high until stiff, but not dry peaks form. Fold one-quarter of the whites into the batter, then fold in the remaining whites. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and smooth evenly. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes. Let cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Run a thin knife around the cakes to detach from the pan. Invert the cakes, remove the parchment, and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Frosting

Using a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or using a hand-held mixer, beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla just until blended. Add the confectioners' sugar, one-third at a time, and beat just until smooth (do not over beat). Stir in the pecans.

Place one cake layer on a serving platter and top with 1 cup of the frosting, spreading evenly. Place the other cake layer on top and frost the sides and the top with the remaining frosting. Enjoy!

This chocolate cupcake recipe can be made in 30 minutes; 15 minutes for preparation and the same for cooking. For making this chocolate cupcake recipe, you will need these following ingredients:
  • ½ tea spoon of baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups of flour
  • 1 table spoon of baking powder
  • 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tea spoon of salt
  • 4 table spoons of butter, softened
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of milk
Follow this chocolate cupcake recipe step by step
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Prepare 12 hole muffin pan or 24 hole mini muffin pan.
  3. Line the muffin pan with foil liners.
  4. Sift the flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder and cocoa into a large mixing bowl.
  5. Set this mixture aside.
  6. In another bowl, mix butter softened and sugar well until they get light and fluffy.
  7. Add the eggs to the mixture one by one, and keep beating with each addition.
  8. Add the vanilla extract to the bowl and stir well.
  9. Add the flour mixture and the milk alternately to the bowl and beat well.
  10. Put two table spoons of the mixture in the muffin cups until they get 2/3 full.
  11. Bake cupcakes for 15 to 20 minutes in the oven or till a toothpick inserted into a cupcake comes out clean.
  12. Leave cupcakes for 10 minutes in order to chill.
